Hi!
I'm Jason Nolin, a transportation planner based in Portland, Oregon. I like helping communities move past car-dependence with projects that improve walking and biking. A walkable and bikeable community provides economic, social, health, safety, environmental, and climate benefits. Plus, they're all-around more pleasant for everyone.
I studied mechanical engineering for my bachelor degree and pursued a few different paths (engineering, architecture, design, bike shops) before finding transportation planning. Inspired by Canadian and European cities, I saw huge potential to make US communities cleaner, quieter, and more livable. I enrolled in the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program at Portland State University (PSU) and graduated in 2019.
Now I'm applying myself to improving walking, biking and transit through an assortment of projects at Parametrix.
Thanks for visiting.
